Trifala, which directly translates to ‘three kinds of fruits’ in Sanskrit, is a herbal medicine that has continued to be an important part of the Ayurvedic tradition of healing in India. Triphala is made by combining three Indian superfruits – Amalaki, Bibhitaka and Haritaki.
